Oh, how I love a good celebration! Balloons are so much fun to work with and work for all ages and genders – just switch up the colours and patterns and voila! versatility at its finest! I absolutely love to work with Stampin’ Up!’s Balloon Celebration photopolymer stamp set – not only is it my favourite type of stamp (photopolymer), but it’s good for so many different designs. I’ve been working on cards for my friends’ upcoming birthdays and have been having fun mixing and matching this stamp set with metallic paper and glitter. Check out the ultra feminine birthday card I made for my good friend (and bridesmaid), Sarah:
I even carried the colour scheme and metallic touch through to the inside, and added in a reference to two of our favourite things – tea and cake. Here’s a peek at the inside:
To punch out the balloons I used the balloon bouquet punch. Much easier than fussy cutting each balloon by hand! The other cool part about this punch is that it cuts out two balloons in two different sizes all at once. Some people find it easier to punch a template, then use it to stamp on a page before punching out the stamped balloon images (this helps with alignment). Personally, I like to punch out all my balloons, then stamp them afterwards. It’s totally up to you which way you prefer to do it – there’s no right or wrong approach to creativity!
If you’ve tried out the balloon celebration photopolymer stamp set or the balloon bouquet punch let me know what you created with it – I love seeing what inspired others!
Ciao for now!
